About Air Travel
If you are making your own travel plans, please be sure to reserve your flight well in advance of your trip. Reservations made at least two weeks, or more, in advance will definitely save on the price of your airline ticket. If your trip will end up costing more than $500, please contact Fran Brown at fmb3@cornell.edu, or by phone at 607-255-7562. Fran may be able to get a better rate through the Cornell University Travel Office.

There are two main airports that people use when coming to Cornell:
Tompkins County Regional Airport in Ithaca (USAIR, Northwest)
Syracuse Hancock International Airport (USAIR, American, Delta, United, Northwest, Continental, Airtran, TransMeridian)

If possible, you should plan to arrive at the Tompkins County Airport in Ithaca which is about 10 minutes from campus. This is much more convenient than arriving in Syracuse, which is still approximately one hour away from Ithaca. If you do have to arrive in Syracuse, below are some options for getting to Ithaca from Syracuse.

If you need any assistance with your travel plans, please contact Fran Brown, at the Cornell Physics Office, 607-255-7562.
