Dionysios Anninos

Dionysios Anninos was recently an undergraduate physics major at Cornell. “The range of possibilities offered at Cornell is overwhelming. One can end up studying the most disparate fields and end up well versed in them. Personally, I tried to exploit this feature to the maximum. I ended up learning a lot of great physics by sampling a large set of physics courses offered at a unique level, as well as exploring economics and mathematics.” “Furthermore, through its advanced courses and research opportunities, Cornell offers the student a unique access to the most intriguing problems in current research. One may well leave Cornell Physics as an undergraduate having a clear idea of what they want to pursue as a graduate student and furthermore having accumulated a relatively strong background in that specific field (in my case it was high energy physics).” “Finally our Professors have proved to be welcoming and engaging, and I am confident they will guide and advise the interested student with as great pleasure as they did with me. It is truly an inspiring department within a wonderful University.”
