How To Apply

Students interested in coming to Cornell to major in physics can indicate this in their application to the College of Arts and Sciences. Current students meeting the entrance requirements mentioned above can enter the major by first seeing the Physics Director of Undergraduate Studies (DUS), Professor Erich Mueller, physicsdus@cornell.edu, 514A Clark Hall, (607) 255-1568. Students can gain provisional acceptance into the major if appropriate in the semester in which they expect to complete the requirements and thereby have the benefit of their major advisors help in course planning. Students are welcome to see Professor Mueller early in their time at Cornell as well to discuss pre-major course selection.
